This project will be looking at the idea between wild vs tame. The last project focused on the freedom of a wild garden, that was controlled and trapped by fences, but this project will reflect that by having an emphisis on the contrast between soft and hard lines.
The outfits will reflect a contrast and harmony of highly structured and controlled garments, combined with naturally flowing organic, shapes, textures and lines.
This will be shown with a focus on the fabrics and materials used to represent these things. I will be looking at tailoring using different materials from warm winter wools to PVC coated cottons, as well as continuing with the resin and plastic sheeting experiments to see how these can be used in a mid-market environment. Can it be washed, or removed or used as a protective waterproof layer for outerwear?
My target market will be women in the 25-35 age range as these are more likely to be the fashion forward yet business orientated group. So the range will be aimed with a modest aproach that is suitable for office wear as well as being able to be paired or worn differently to accomidate out going out wear.
